D.J. Byrd sat on Purdue's bench, wearing dress clothes. Serving a suspension for an off-court incident early Friday morning, all the junior guard could do was watch as his teammates missed shot after shot in the second half Sunday against Michigan State.

Even though his role has changed in the offense, Kewanee's Dayton Ince hasn't lost his ability to put the ball in the basket for the Boilers. Heading into Tuesday night’s non-conference game at Sherrard, the Boilers are winners of three of their last four outings, including Friday night’s 71-55 romp over Fulton fueled by 32 points from junior guard Dayton Ince.
