Hoboken City Councilman Ravi Bhalla said the city council will be looking at short-term remedies as well as long-term capital infrastructure improvements.

“This eclipsed our previous record of 119 breaks for that month,” the report said. City spokesman David Bevens said the city's highest water main break total ever for one month was 228, in September 2000.
