Northwestern scored four times with two outs in the ninth inning to break a 6-6 tie and defeat Purdue baseball, 10-6, in game two of the Big Ten Conference series Saturday afternoon at Alexander Field.

Prep baseball: Amboy beats Newman at home; Panthers handle Boilers

A five-run fifth inning propelled the Amboy Clippers to a 6-1 victory over Three Rivers rival Newman on Thursday afternoon in Amboy. All five runs came with two outs, as Bailey Appleman started the rally with an RBI single to score Tyson Powers, and Andrew Klein capped it with a two-run single.
