I'd get in the shower hold my waders up to the shower head and while they fill up I'll look for leaks . My first major mistake was understanding that waders are not very stiff

If you plan ahead, you can even fill the waders with water and then see where water leaks out of them. However, it will take much longer for your waders to dry if you use this method.
