Boilers , Geese represented in Canton all-star basketball game

The Kewanee and Wethersfield basketball programs will have a presence at the eighth annual Kiwanis Club of Canton All-Star basketball games March 23. Four players each from Kewanee and Wethersfield were selected for the games at Alice Ingersoll Gym.

Boilers finish 3-1 at Erie; Galva falls to Brimfield

The Kewanee Boilermakers finished 3-1 and the Wethersfield Flying Geese 1-3 in pool play at the Warkins Cardinal Classic in Erie Thursday. The Boilers swept Morrison and Mercer County, while the Geese fell to Riverdale. In the championship game of the Princeville Holiday Tournament, Brimfield used a big third quarter to defeat Galva 42-32.

Boilers, Geese drop tourney finales

Kewanee and Wethersfield dropped their basketball tournament finales Saturday night — the Boilers falling to Orion 67-46 at the Orion Tip-Off Classic and the Geese losing to Princeville 61-53 in their own Wally Keller Invitational.
